I had an hour plus talk with two netball girls after training just now. Gave some suggestions to the P6 girl to improve her studying methods. She asked me if I had showed her journal to another teacher. Ops! I did and I shouldn't. I feel bad. I shall not show anyone anything the girls wrote from now on. I'm sorry girl.
The other P4 girl was having her lunch while she sat and listened to us. Then she asked me if I could train her for her napfa test every Friday before our netball training. I was shocked by her enthusiasm and initiative. She mentioned her PE teacher only got them to run one round around the court and she knew it was not enough. I felt very happy when I heard that because this is the first time that someone is serious about napfa and is willing to take time to train for it, knowing that she is not ready. Doing my best for PE is worth it!
From these pupils, I know there is still hope in teaching as there are teachable ones who are so willing to learn and excel. Though there are disappointing pupils around, I shall focus my energy on those who deserve my time and effort.
Those who wrote their journals weekly are closer to me compared to those who are lazy to write. The feeling is mutual.
Looking forward to Thursday's training with them again!
